She's a favorite when it comes to cover girls, and Sarah Jessica Parker finds herself front and center on the December 2011 issue of Marie Claire UK.

The "Sex and the City" actress brightens up the magazine's latest installment while posing for a Tesh shot spread and chatting with the publication about topics ranging from her marriage with Matthew Broderick to not wanting to be famous.

On a New York Post report claiming she complained about being called for jury duty:
"I was outraged by the character assassination! I have served so many times. I was asked to speak at Jury Appreciation Day! I expect I should be more calloused by now, but I'm so sensitive about not living up to anybody's worst idea about an actor."

On not wanting to be famous:
"I never wanted to be a celebrity; I never wanted to be famous. And in my daily life, I work really hard to not trade on it in any way. I am so worried about anybody saying, 'She's cut in line' or 'She took our table' or 'She got out of jury duty'. The comments that are counter to who I am and the way I live are the ones that bother me. It's not like it's hard to be decent and respectful and well-behaved. I do wait in line, and I do take the subway, and I do take the kids to school. But it almost doesn't matter to a certain segment of the populace - they're projecting onto you this status and entitlement I don't have."

On not taking anything for granted:
"We didn't have a lot when I was growing up, and it's the best thing that happened to me because I appreciate everything. I have a strong work ethic and don't take anything for granted."

On claims that husband Matthew Broderick resented her spending seven weeks filming in Morocco shortly after they adopted twins:
"No, no no! Matthew is a working actor, and he knows sometimes things require some hardship. It's the same when he goes away for two or three months at a time. We're accustomed to this, and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way for me."

On her passion for acting:
"I love, love, love being an actor. It's still the hardest and scariest thing I do, outside of parenting. But I love the opportunities, and if I can manage my time, and the children are OK and we're OK, it's hard to say no to things that are challenging and enriching."

Singer Justin Timberlake has the hots for Pippa Middleton, who also happens to be the owner of Great Britain's best assets.

Kate Middleton's sister first made waves and attracted fans from around the world when she wore a figure-hugging Alexander McQueen dress to her sister's wedding to Prince William in April. She has since been a media sensation, attracting admirers with her enviable figure and a style icon for fashionistas.� The chart-topper will just have to settle for his crush on Middleton since, according to the British press, she has been spoken for. She recently reunited with beau Alex Loudon after a brief break.

Timberlake, meanwhile, has been rumored to be dating his on-again, off-again girlfriend Jessica Biel after the two were seen holding hands and spending time together at the premiere of his latest film, In Time. ��

An eyewitness tells People magazine, "[They] became more and more affectionate, sneaking kisses, whispering to each other, and sharing quick back rubs and caresses."�

"At one point, she pretended to punch him a couple time and gamely bounced up and down like a jack in the box," added the observer.�

While it looks like Timberlake and Biel are definitely back on, we wonder what she thinks about his crush for Middleton!�

Hollywood Stars Costume Up for Halloween: A Complete Look!

With a full slate of parties taking place across the States, the stars of Hollywood got all dressed up while joining in on the annual Halloween holiday celebrations this weekend.

Among the Tinseltown couples pairing up this year were a Hermione Granger clad Nina Dobrev and her superhero beau Ian Somerhalder, as well as Odette and Dave Annable doing their best impersonations of Bonnie and Clyde.

Making for one of the more well-attended fetes of the weekend, Kate Hudson's annual bash drew out JLo & Hunter S. Thomson duo Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, a witchy Jessica Alba, David Arquette as Elvis, Gwen Stefani as Cinderella and Jennifer Love Hewitt and her new beau Jarod Einsohn as Brangelina, among many other fellow costume-clad celebs.

The "Glee" gang was out in full force this year, with Lea Michele channeling Natalie Portman's Oscar-winning "Black Swan" character with other castmates spotted on the holiday weekend including Chris Colfer as a Sea-Monkey, Amber Riley as Nicki Minaj and Jenna Ushkowitz teamed up with boyfriend Michael Trevino as Green Monkeys.

As for the Sin City crowd, Heidi Klum hosted a party at Tao dressed as a dead body with Bethenny Frankel opting to go as Hello Kitty. Meanwhile, Nicole ?Snooki? Polizzi got catty at PURE while Holly Madison, Scott Disick, Bridget Marquardt, Sam Trammel, and Ice T and Coco were among the other stars working their costumes in Las Vegas.

With Alessandra Ambrosio and Jayde Nicole prettying up the Roosevelt Hotel Halloween Party in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan opted to celebrate with friends at the Playboy mansion.

Other highlights over the past few days included Kim Kardashian as poison ivy while hosting a Midori party in NYC, Sofia Vergara dressed as an Angry Bird, Cameron Diaz as a stripper and Adam Lambert portraying a Heavy Metal Lover with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen.

'Chuck' and 'Grimm' Swing & Miss Opposite World Series, But Will Re-Air Saturday Night

NBC was the only major network that decided to plow ahead with its scheduled Friday premieres, even though they were going up against Game 7 of the World Series. Fox had benched its breakout hit 'New Girl' for the entire series and CBS decided Friday to hold a new episode of 'A Gifted Man' until next week.

Well, the ratings are in, and it appears NBC's decision to air 'Chuck' and 'Grimm' was as dubious as some of Tony La Russa's moves in Game 5. But just like the Cardinals manager, both shows will get a chance at redemption.

According to TVLine, Chuck's Season 5 premiere pretty much bombed. Only 3.4 million viewers watched, a paltry 1.0 rating in the coveted 18-49 year old demo. Series creator Josh Schwartz joked about Chuck's low ratings, tweeting, "Well Chuck premiere is on again tonight. In case you missed it. Which it seems you might have..."

Capitalizing on some pre-Halloween momentum, the spooky procedural 'Grimm' premiered much stronger, notching 6.5 million total viewers and a 2.1 demo rating.

To atone for the scheduling snafoo, NBC will re-air both premieres on Saturday night, with 'Chuck' at 8PM ET and 'Grimm' at 9PM ET and also Tuesday night on SyFy.

Beavis and Butt-head rip The Jersey Shore

After 14 years, MTV's most irreverent animated series Beavis and Butt-Head is back to rip on reality TV.

During the nineties, Beavis and Butt-Head were the ultimate music video critics before bloggers, online chat rooms and YouTube took over the job for them.� Now that MTV rarely airs music videos any longer, the boys are going after a new medium instead -- reality television shows such as the Jersey Shore, 16 & Pregnant, and Teen Mom. The boys poke fun of the reality stars who, in most cases, appear only marginally more intelligent than the animated duo.�

Unfortunately for the Jersey Shore cast, they are the butt of most of the duo's jokes in this clip.

Imaging JWoww's future with her grandchildren, which the Jersey Shore housemate mused about in Season 4, Butt-Head said, "Grandma JWoww, where did you get syphilis?"

While watching a clip from Season 2 of the Jersey Shore in which�Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi ponders whether or not she should sleep with Vinny Guadagnino because she considers him to be a big brother to her. Butt-Head adds his commentary to the situation by saying, "She usually doesn't have sex with her big brother." Beavis interjects with, "But, you know… nobody else is around, it's dark," �then Butt-Head adds, "mom and dad are at the movies," followed by their short, trademark laugh.�

In another clip, JWoww drew up a "hook-up" board with the names of the housemates who may or may not have slept together, Butt-Head says, "This is like a family tree, if your family was made of whores." �

"If they, like, did this chart long enough, they could find out where herpes began," Butt-Head continues.�

So it's official.� Even Beavis and Butt-Head are capable of making social commentary more intelligently than the Jersey Shore cast.

Johnny Depp says Vanessa Paradis saved him

Johnny Depp says he instantly fell in love when he first met his partner, Vanessa Paradis.

While actor Johnny Depp is considered one of Hollywood's biggest stars, he was once one of the baddest boys as well.� These days though, The Rum Diary actor has put his partying days behind him for a quieter, stable lifestyle with his partner Vanessa Paradis and their two children, Lily, 12, and Jack, 9. ��

The actor says that it was Paradis who insisted he clean up his act and put his parting days behind him. For her, Depp cut down on smoking and drinking alcohol -- taking up exercise and a healthier diet, instead. ��

Depp, who famously dated actresses Winona Ryder, Kate Moss and Jennifer Grey, says that he also didn't fall in love for the first time until he met Paradis.

Recalling the first time he met her, he told the Daily Mail, "She was wearing a dress with an exposed back and I saw that back and that neck, and then she turned around and I saw those eyes, and -- boom!� My life as a single man was done."�

"You have this feeling -- I can't really explain what it was, but I had it when I met her.� I saw her across a room and thought: 'What's happening to me?'"

Depp says that prior to meeting Paradis, he wasted a lot of time during what he calls his "dumb years."� "When I was in a social situation, I was nervous and uncomfortable.� The only way I could get through it was to drink my guts out!� I wasted a lot of years."

These days, a sober Depp spends his time with his family, traveling between Los Angeles and their homes in France and the Bahamas -- which means the only buzz he's been getting lately is for his on-screen work.� His latest film, The Rum Diary is in theaters now.

Real World star sues over sexual assault

A former costar on Real World is suing the show creators and MTV over a sexual assault she says happened on their watch.

Former Real World contestant Tonya Cooley is suing show creators and MTV over an alleged sexual assault she says happened when she appeared on the series.

Cooley claims that while she was filming Real World: Ruins in 2009, female contestants were plied with alcohol while the male contestants were encouraged to mistreat them by show staff.

She claims that while filming, male contestants ripped off the women's bathing suits, touched them inappropriately in intimate areas and called them derogatory names -- all while being forced to use co-ed bathrooms and bedrooms. When she complained to higher-ups, she says she was told to "just deal with it."

The mistreatment gets worse. Cooley alleges she was the victim of a sexual assault at the hands of two male cast mates, who inserted a toothbrush into her vagina while she was passed out drunk -- an incident she only learned of when she noticed lacerations and abrasions on her body. Other cast mates who witnessed the incident then told her what happened. She also says crew members witnessed the incident, proven by the fact that they gave her a new toothbrush the next morning.

When Cooley pointed the finger at Kenneth Santucci and Evan Starkman for the assault, she says nothing was done -- despite a rule prohibiting offensive contact between costars. Yet, when she later slapped another contestant during an argument, she was immediately dismissed from the show.

"[MTV and producers] created an environment in which degrading and harassing behavior toward the female contestants was openly tolerated and even encouraged," reads Cooley's court complaint.

While no dollar figure has yet been named, Cooley is suing for sexual harassment, assault, sexual battery, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful termination. The lawsuit names Bunim/Murray Productions, Santucci, Starkman, and MTV as defendants.

MTV and Bunim/Murray have not responded to requests for comment.

Stringing together an all-star ensemble, Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey have signed on to the CG 3-D action/thriller "Thunder Run."

Teaming up their talents for the Simon West film, the trio of Hollywood heavyweights are set to take the lead roles in the big screen adaption of the novel "Thunder Run: The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie ?aims to recount the capture of Baghdad by American forces at the start of the Iraq War in 2003. The three-day assault was referred as a ?lightning strike? or thunder run.'"

Set to begin production in 2012, the picture will strive to "paint the harrowing picture of the soldiers on the front lines and the realities of modern warfare.?

In the video, Madonna expresses her concern that they’ll get the wrong kind of applicants for the new spokesmodel position -- after all, her '80s "Material Girl" reputation was supposed to be ironic and tongue-in-cheek, according to her.

"People think I'm a superficial person," Madonna laments. "I'm not. I love horses… I love flowers -- I don't love hydrangeas." We all know what happens when you give Madonna hydrangeas.

For her part, Lola reacts in typical teenager fashion -- she’s laid back and more interested in her fruit than her mom’s worries. Our favorite exchange?

"Totes magotes… people say that now," Lourdes tells her mum.

"Whatevs," Madonna replies, obviously behind the times.

"People don’t say that anymore," her daughter snaps back. Ouch! It must hurt Madonna to know she's not the one up on all the trends anymore.

Sure, the video shows off the acting skills -- or lack thereof -- of Madonna. Lourdes, on the other hand, is a natural in front of the camera. We actually think she should probably be the face of Material Girl… again.

Don’t worry, it looks like current Material Girl Kelly Osbourne is still repping the line, in addition to whomever they choose as the new face of Material Girl. Lola recently sat down with Osbourne to find out who she thinks has the best style -- Kelly thinks Rihanna has the most fierce style of any starlet.

"Rihanna is FIERCE. She'll try out any look...she is definitely a Material Girl!" Osbourne told Lourdes for the official Material Girl blog.

It looks like the next Material Girl has some pretty big shoes to fill.�

"The Rum Diary": In Theaters Now!

It's one of the most anticipated pictures of the year, and today (October 28) "The Rum Diary" has made its long-awaited release into theaters.

Adding the high level of appeal to the action/drama flick is its stellar cast, which includes big screen favorite Johnny Depp and his two talented co-stars Amber Heard and Aaron Eckhart.

Per IMDB?s website, ?The Rum Diary? involves an American journalist named Paul Kemp who takes on a freelance job in Puerto Rico for a local newspaper during the 1950s - during which time he struggles to find a balance between island culture and the ex-patriots who live there.

While talking about production of the film during a recent interview, Miss Heard told press, "I'm in a 1958 Corvette convertible on an empty highway. It's a beautiful spring day in Puerto Rico. And I'm making a movie with Johnny Depp. He's a beautiful specimen of a human being," adding, "It was a wildly, wildly seductive combination. That moment quite possibly has ruined every other job for me."

Anesthesiologist and Propofol expert  Dr. Paul White -- the defense team's final witness -- has altered his original claim that Michael Jackson could have died from ingesting Propofol.

White just testified, claiming his initial theory that swallowing Propofol could have been fatal for the singer -- a theory he included in a prior report for the defense attorneys -- was just a plausible suggestion ... not a foregone conclusion.

During opening statements, the defense argued the The King of Pop may have killed himself by ingesting Propofol ... but has since dropped the claim after a study revealed drinking the anesthetic would not be fatal.

Other highlights:
* Defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan addressed what he called the "elephant in room," asking Dr. White whether he could justify administering Propofol, and then leaving the patient. White answered, "Absolutely not."
* White said he wouldn't expect Jackson to have died from the amount of Propofol Murray claims he gave the singer.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy's baby showered with gifts

Giulia Bruni-Sarkozy is already being spoiled with lavish gifts even though she's only a week old!

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy's newborn baby girl has already been given the royal treatment by being showered with gifts from international leaders, royals, and dignitaries. ��

According to the European press, some of Giulia's father's high-profile friends and allies have been sending gifts to Europe's most talked-about baby girl.�

German chancellor Angela Merkel was photographed at the euro talks in Brussels, Belgium presenting President Sarkozy with a Steiff Schlaf-Gut-Bar, which translates to "Sleep-Well-Bear," and is made by a popular German firm's baby collection. Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron also handed Sarkozy with a pink woolen Witney blanket during the talks as well.�

The French media also reports that Morocco's King Mohammed VI sent a basket of white orchids to the hospital for baby Giulia and her mother while France's former first lady Bernadette Chirac sent the newborn a smoke-colored robe from Baby Dior with a handwritten note from former French president Jacques Chirac.

Bruni-Sarkozy had earlier stated that she would do everything possible to protect her child from the media and that she did not plan on exposing her baby to the public. It was only in July that she finally confirmed France's worst-kept secret that she was pregnant, and just last month she stirred controversy when she said she was craving cigarettes and alcohol. She said, "Quite frankly, I can't stand it any more. I spend most of my time either sitting down or lying down. I can't drink or smoke anymore. I'm in a hurry to get it over with."�

This is the second child for Bruni-Sarkozy, who also has a 10-year-old son, Aurelien, with ex-boyfriend Raphael Enthoven.

Arclight Launches Documentary Fest

The inaugural ArcLight Cinemas Documentary Film Festival will unspool November 7-11 at Hollywood’s preferred venue for special screenings and industry events. The 10 entrants were chosen by fans who voted for trailers on Arclight’s YouTube page out of some 150 hopefuls that attracted more than 100,000 views and more than 30,000 votes. Selected docs range from a deep look into the world of YouTube, the beginnings of punk rock, UFC fighter Evan Tanner and “the idea” of God and others. Titles are Butterflies, We Were Feared, Once I Was a Champion, God in the Box, Unsigned, More Brains! A Return to the Living Dead, 13 Families, Holy Rollers: The True Story of Card Counting Christians, More Than Me and Rize N Grind. Winners will be chosen by four judges from the documentary and entertainment community: Rebecca Cammisa (Which Way Home), Rhadi Taylor (Sundance Institute), Marjan Safina (International Documentary Association) and Gretchen McCourt (ArcLight?s EVP of cinema programming), who conceived the event. The winning documentary will be revealed at a gala at ArcLight Cinemas Hollywood on November 12.

Comedian Patrice O'Neal Suffers Stroke

Stand-up comedian Patrice O'Neal, 41, suffered a stroke last Wednesday, comic Jim Norton announced on the Opie and Anthony Show.

"We wanted it to come from us." Norton said, according to
LaughSpin. He was joined on the show by Colin Quinn, Robert Kelly, Rich Vos and Keith Robinson "We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be. I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you."

O'Neal's family has requested that fans respect the comedian's privacy, but set up an email address to receive well-wishes: loveforpatrice@gmail.com.

Simon Cowell gloats over his X Factor contestants

How did The X Factor judge Simon Cowell think his contestants did on the first live show on Tuesday night?

The X Factor had its first live show on Tuesday night and they pitted Simon Cowell’s team, The Girls, against L.A. Reid’s team, The Boys. Cowell is wasting no time in gloating over his team which he says is sure to create a superstar.

“I was happy with the show and… more happy that my contestants just killed everyone else’s” he told Access Hollywood. “I’m so doing better, I’m thrilled… my artists are better.”

The Girls team consists of Melanie Amaro, Rachel Crow and Drew, while Reid’s The Boys team consists of Astro, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene.

“L.A. Reid doesn’t want to sit on this live show and see me do better than him, which I plainly did tonight,” he boasted.

Judge Paula Abdul has The Groups, which consists of InTENsity, Lakoda Rayne and The Stereo Hogzz, while Nicole Scherzinger has The Over 30s, consisting of LeRoy Bell, Stacy Francis and Josh Krajcik.

Cowell said he is confident that The X Factor will find stars. “I’m excited. I can see stars emerging here -- artists that are going to sell records in the real world, that was the job,” he said.

Abdul agrees, saying “I can only dream that we have the same level of success [as American Idol]… I’m just happy, I’m very blessed… mentoring is my strongest suit,” she said.

Abdul and Cowell were, of course, American Idol judges together and enjoyed bantering back and forth -- and this show is no different.� After Cowell complimented Abdul on “the incredible job” she has done with her groups, she said the compliment was unexpected. "It was a little weird! It will only happen once, I'm certain. Might as well enjoy it if it's short-lived!"

The X Factor next airs on Nov. 2 on Fox.

Angelina Jolie has much more on her plate than looking gorgeous, raising six kids and smooching Brad Pitt: The actress will soon make her directorial debut.

In the Land of Blood and Honey marks Jolie's first foray behind the camera, and it is the kind of film you would have expected the now-family-friendly 30-something to have made during her Goth era: Dark, brooding and violent.

The film's synopsis reads:

"Set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War that tore the Balkan region apart in the 1990s, In the Land of Blood and Honey tells the story of Danijel and Ajla , two people from different sides of a brutal ethnic conflict. Danijel, a soldier fighting for the Serbs, and Ajla, a Bosnian held captive in the camp he oversees, knew each other before the war, and could have found love with each other. But as the armed conflict takes hold of their lives, their relationship grows darker, their motives and connection to one another ambiguous, their allegiances uncertain. In the Land of Blood and Honey portrays the incredible emotional, moral and physical toll that the war exerts both on individuals and people as a whole, and the terrible consequences that stem from the lack of political will to intervene in a society stricken with conflict."

Jolie, who also produced and wrote the film, said the project left her feeling "exposed" and she didn't trust anyone else to tell the story as the director.

"I've never felt more exposed. My whole career, I've hidden behind other people's words," she said in the October issue of Vanity Fair. "Now it's me talking. You feel ridiculous when you get something wrong."

"It was something I didn't trust out of my hands," she explained. "So by default I ended up putting myself in as director."

In the Land of Blood and Honey opens in theaters everywhere on Dec. 23.

Kevin Clash, the puppeteer known as the voice of Elmo, stopped by 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) to look back on his career and talk about the new film 'Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey.' He surprised the ladies with a surprisingly deep, Barry White-esque voice that was a hilarious contrast to Elmo's high-pitched squeal.

Delving into the history of Elmo, Clash mentioned that he was the third person to voice the lovable Muppet, as Jim Henson found that both of the first voices, one of which Clash described as a screaming caveman, wasn't quite right. Clash came up with Elmo's trademark high-pitched tone and practiced that summer on his mom's daycare class. The rest is Muppet history.

Joss Stone -- Suspect Pleads 'Not Guilty' in Samurai Sword Murder Plot

One of the men arrested in connection with an alleged plot to kidnap and murder soul singer Joss Stone pled "not guilty" this morning.

As TMZ previously reported, Kevin Liverpool and his alleged accomplice Junior Bradshaw were arrested back in June near Stone's property outside London. After searching their car, police claim to have found a samurai sword, rope, and a body bag ... as well as maps and aerial photos of Stone's house.

The men were charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Bradshaw has yet to enter a plea. Both men were ordered to be kept under lock and key until their trial next year.

Nic Cage's Daughter-In-Law Turns Down 'Relationship Rehab'

Weston Cage and his wife Nikki Williams may have an incredibly screwed up relationship, but they're not willing to spill it on a new reality show.

We're told the fiery couple has turned down an offer to appear on VH1's "Relationship Rehab," a revamped version of "Celebrity Rehab," that deals with bad relationships instead of drugs and booze.

We're told Nikki isn't interested in airing their dirty laundry -- of which there is plenty -- and would rather leave the last four months -- which included two domestic violence incidents that resulted in their arrest (link, link) -- behind her.

Casting for the show is off to a rocky start ... Jonny Fairplay's ex was asked to appear on the show too -- and also turned it down.

There's always David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach. They're always good for a laugh.

'Once Upon a Time' Set Visit: The Cast Explains How They're Breathing New Life Into Old Stories

I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that ABC's 'Once Upon a Time' is unlike anything you've seen on television before. Its closest relative is probably a little-watched NBC miniseries called 'The 10th Kingdom' which aired in 2000, at least in the way it blends classic fairytales with the modern world to offer a whole new interpretation of pop culture's most familiar yarns.

'Once' also shares a certain amount of DNA with 'Lost,' since it was created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who wrote for the mystery series for the duration of its run (you can read Mo Ryan's recent interview with the duo here). But in its ideas, execution, and undeniable sense of whimsy, 'Once' is a unique creature, accessible to viewers from ages eight to 80.

Earlier this month, AOL TV visited the Vancouver set of the fantasy drama, wandering through the enchanting streets of fictional Storybrooke and talking with the cast about how the show is evolving so far.
